DBNRRC September 2024 Highlights

From September 9-11, 2024, the Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center (DB NRRC), led by Dr. Yulin Jia, hosted the 2024 International Symposium of Rice Functional Genomics (ISRFGC) in Little Rock and Stuttgart, Arkansas.  The event was co-organized with Dr. Rod Wing from the University of Arizona and Dr. Vibha Srivastava from the University of Arkansas, with support from ARS Stuttgart staff.  The symposium celebrated the 20th anniversary of the rice genome sequence, highlighting its impact on rice production and protection.  Opening remarks were given by Dr. Deacue Fields and other prominent leaders.  Around 170 attendees participated in knowledge-sharing sessions and training, with a facility tour on September 11.
